The Forever 21 Dress One Editor Calls "Magic" Now and then, without even knowing it, we buy a dress we didn't know we needed until we wear it to death and refer to it as, "the perfect dress." In the case of my friend , she stumbled upon a life-changing dress at her friend's place, where she was in search of something to wear to a wedding. "It was cool. It was flattering. It was from Forever 21," she says . Affordable , simple, knee-length shift dress became the borrowed dress that never made it back to its rightful owner. She not only wore it to the wedding, but she continued to wear it over and over again for everything from a first date to brunch, and even her first day of work . "This dress became the most essential item in my closet," she admits. Eventually, she purchased one to replace the one she got away with keeping, and she outlines the many ways the "magic" dress can be styled for any occasion in her story.

Beyoncé didn't really like her wedding dress designed by her mum Tina Beyoncé 's mum Tina Knowles has designed many special outfits and stage costumes for her daughter over the years, but there was one design that the singer didn't like as much – her wedding dress. The  Halo  singer married Jay Z in April 2008 wearing a gown designed especially by her mum, but it has emerged she wasn't crazy about the ivory strapless dress. She came back later one day and she said, 'You know, when my daughter gets married, I'm going to let her pick out her own dress.' "Maybe she wasn't so excited about it at the time, but she's a sweetheart." Fans have only ever been given a glimpse at Beyoncé's wedding dress in her 2011 music video for  I Was Here . The
